Lulu's pup - Buttercup
Lulu's pup - Buttercup

Daisy (AKA Buttercup) is a wonderful little beagle girl. We are having so much fun with her. At her last vet visit in December, she was 14 pounds, and growing. She is making some progress with her house training, but we still have lots of lapses from time to time. Daisy really has a great personality, that we just love to watch in her. She uses her paws often, and loves to sleep on her back with her paws straight up in the air. It's very cute. Within the first few day's, she took right to her crate, and started to sleep through the night. We were definitely happy about that. We have not been very successful taking her for walks yet, as she gets a few houses down, and bolts back to our front door. There have not been any instances that happened to her, and no other animals so we are not sure why she stops. We have even taken her different routes, and she still only makes it a very short distance. We will keep trying until she gets used to it. Daisy has had a few puppy play dates, and there were very amusing. She loves to try and get her friends to chase her, by bumping her back side into them. Below you will see a picture of one of her other playmates Molly a cocker spanial. Dinner time is still a challenge for us, as Daisy is still a big beger. We are working on this with her, as she is learning different commands such as down, sit, and stay. We have a six and seven year old boy's, and like us, they love having her around. Thank you to everyone at TBBR for such a wonderful addition to our family. We look forward to having her around for a many years to come. She loves having her picture taken, so I hope you enjoy. Titus
Titus

Titus is doing great. He's being a real good boy. Madison really loves him and was so surprised and excited when she got him. She says he's a great dog. One of his favorite things is riding to school in the morning with the kids in our van. He gets so excited when we get ready to leave. He loves going walking and chasing our cat up into the tree. It's hilarious. We took him to Madison's grandma and grandpa's house and he got to meet their chocolate lab Guinness. They got along great. I've attached a few pictures. One is of Madison and Titus walking, the other is Madison, my niece, Leili, and Titus, and the last one is Madison and our neighbor, Kiersten, playing with Titus in our back yard. He's been a perfect pet and has taken real well to us. He doesn't like being in his crate in the daytime, but when it's time for bed he goes right in by himself. He listens good and is getting better. Thanks so much. Jarrett, Bonita, Madison, and Dennis

Puddles
Puddles

Things are going great with Puddles. We are working with her on her possessive/aggressive issues (including food, toys, and our bed!) We have not had any growling/snapping incidents in more than two weeks. She cohabitates well with both of my parents’ dogs. She had some separation anxiety when we first brought her home, but with a citronella spray bark collar and a bit more exercise, she is doing great! She is the best dog. Her favorite thing to do on the weekends is to go for a long walk and eat lunch with us outside at a restaurant. Puddles is currently looking for a costume for Bark in the Park and can’t wait to see the rest of her beagle buddies! My husband and I are so grateful to have found Puddles. Its hard to believe the someone would not want her. We cannot wait until we are in position to adopt another beagle! Thank you, Carolyn

Payne
Payne

Payne is doing really well... Actually, we renamed her Valentina (or Val for short). My husband and I have adjusted to having a new member of the family and she is loving her new life! Again, many thanks for the email and we will get you pictures soon. Best Regards, Larrisa Kokkinis

Zach II
Zach II

Dear Beagle Rescue... Attached are two photos taken last summer while cruising on our boat off the coast of Nova Scotia. Our adopted beagle Zack seems to be enjoying himself. You should note that he is a safety-conscious sailor and attaches a safety line to make sure he doesn't fall overboard. He has his own life jacket but finds it a bit uncomfortable so he only wears it when out in the dinghy. It is almost a year since we adopted Zack so we wanted to write to express our appreciation for the service you provide and to let you know how much a part of our family he has become. Your efforts in helping us to find such a wonderful beagle to replace our old beagle Sandy were greatly appreciated. To those that are contemplating adopting a beagle we want to say the following: a beagle is a scent hound and will often follow his/her nose into trouble. For this reason, it is best that they be on a lead or in a dog run for their own protection. However, they are one of the most affectionate, kind hearted and gentle dogs available. Zack simply loves children and whines to go play with them whenever they come in view. You can't do better than to have a beagle as a companion. Thanks so much for bringing Zack into our lives.
