Puddles owner, who had her since she was a puppy, died in September 2007 and his family did not want to take care of her. Puddles is a friendly and affectionate girl who is looking for a new family where she can share her love.

Puddles walks very well on a leash and LOVES to go for walks. She is also housebroken. She gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home and is calm, laid back and easy going. She even tolerates the toddlers in her foster home.

She needs an experienced dog owner who understands dog behavior and the fact that you never get between a beagle and a bone! She is not food aggressive at all but can be a bit possessive of whatever she deems as "hers," typically her food bowl or a bone. We are working on the command "leave it" and she is doing great with this. She is very smart and loving and would make a wonderful addition to any beagle-loving home! Puddles loves children and is completely fine with children of all ages but because she can be protective of her food bowl at mealtime we recommend she not go to a home with children under 8 years old. That said, she currently lives in a foster home with a 1 yr old and 3 yr old and does beautifully with them as long as she is allowed to eat her dinner in peace.
