Lisa's Puppy #2
Lisa's Puppy #2

Jill, Cindy, Rikkele, and all at TBBR, Thank you so much for your kind words and support throughout the adoption process. Sandy (Lisa's Puppy #2) has settled into her new home quite well -- and she just loves all the attention she gets when we go out -- she seems to be a favorite with everyone! I think that she imagines herself to be much larger than her 12 pounds, as she seems to go right for the large dogs -- befriending the weimeraners as opposed to the cockapoos!! :~) Although the cats are still not too sure about her, they are slowly coming around. Sandy and the older of the 2 cats have been caught laying on the same couch -- opposite ends of course, but there is progress being made! She is doing very well with the crate training and housebreaking in general. She now goes to the door and looks back at us to let us know when she is ready to use the potty. There have been the rare accident on occasion, but overall she has really impressed us. We will be starting obedience training at the end of April. A puppy class specifically geared towards dogs 10 weeks to 5 months. We are looking forward to learning what they will share with us. Chris and I have both worked out our lunch break schedules to allow for us to get home to Sandy and give her some time to run around outside or go for a nice long walk in the middle of the day. The cats are still a bit curious as to why this new creature is allowed to go through the door to the other side, but no attempted escapes on their part yet. Sandy also had her first visit with our vet this past Friday. She took the office by storm and was really enjoying the whole experience until the girl took her temp... She wasn't too sure after that, but still maintained her happy personality. According to the doctor, all looks well. She received her next round of vaccines and deworming; we will have another visit in 3 weeks for the boosters. Her scar from the spay has healed up very well. All in all, she is a happy, healthy, well adjusted puppy. Oh, did I mention energetic!! :~) Thank you again for everything. Thanks, Kim Hannon
