Snoopy VII
Snoopy VII

I received a call from Janice about Snoopy. She & her husband just LOVE Snoopy & can't believe how lucky they are to have found her. She wanted us all to know this as the new year begins!!

Sassy II
Sassy II

HI, I wanted to share my joy for Sassy with some TBBR people that could appreciate her accomplishments. March has been a very eventful month for Sassy. It has been a month of a lot of "firsts" for her. For the first time she jumped up a lounge chair and sat with me. For the first time she showed her presence when we had company for Easter and for the first time she went to a dog park and last but not least she barked !! We had always thought she could not bark due to abuse or a birth defect. But she was out in the yard playing with Scooter and she threw her head back and let out 2 beagle howls. Scooter was so shocked he stopped dead in his tracks and than went up to her and started smelling her mouth, as if he could not figure out where the sound came from. I think Sassy was just as shocked as he was because she quietly sat and let Scooter investigate and sniff. It was very cute. Luckily for us she has not repeated the barking and hopefully she will not start and try to make up for lost time. Sassy has made slow progress over the year, but when she does make progress it is that much sweeter. When I see her running and playing and coming up to me for hugs and kisses it brings tears to my eyes. Sassy may never be a social butterfly but she is a true joy and the sweetest little 24lb angel I have ever met. There were many times that I wanted to give up on her and I was so overwhlemed in the beginning with trying to deal with her issues and with Scooter's puppy antics that I truley thought I was losing my mind. I am so glad we stuck with it and have been able to give Sassy the trust, love and happiness that she truley deserves. As I type this I can hear her snoring in her bed and I don't even take that for granted. There was a time when she was so nervous and unsure of herself and her surrounding that for her to relax enough to snore would have been impossible. Thank you TBBR for your compassion and kindness to all the Sassys, Libbys, Laliahs, Aspens and Fionas of the world. Doreen Fontana

Bubbles II
Bubbles II

I just wanted to take the time to thank Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue for all your help in adopting Bubbles. We have renamed her Pretzel (she learned her new name in no time at all!) and she is doing absolutely wonderful. She gets along so well with her sisters Wednesday and Potatti, but especially Potatti. She follows her around, and they cuddle and play all the time. Pretzel is so lovable and is always wants to be cuddled. She loves her daily walks and is always trying to follow a new smell. She works up a huge appetite and eats all her food before we can blink an eye! It feels like we've had her forever. I've enclosed a picture of Pretzel and her new sisters. Thank you again, what you do for these animals is wonderful. Vanessa Sprogis

Bo
Bo

Bo and I went to my parents house for the holiday and he had a wonderful time. He was given tons of attention from my whole family and relished in the 'people time'. Everyone absolutely loves him! What's not to love, though... My Grandma is a huge dog person (and her favorite dog just happened to be named 'Bo') and was trying to convince me to leave him with her. ;) I told her she could baby-sit sometime. He is just such an adorably wonderful dog. I can't imagine someone giving him up! But, their loss is my huge gain, right? I really appreciate everything that you and your husband did for Bo. We have our first vet visit today and I know they'll be amazed at how clean this rescue dog's teeth are! Actually, I was hoping I could get the name/ number of your vet so I can have them fax over his shot records, etc. I have heard of the Ft. DeSoto dog park and am really looking forward to taking Bo. I think it's going to be a little chilly this weekend (we're going to the dog park instead), but during the first nice weekend, that's where we'll be headed. I'll let you know when we go there and maybe you can meet up with us and see little Bo? He really is an angel. It is so wonderful coming home everyday to him. One of his funny quirks I'm sure you've seen (and it tickles me to death)... When I wake him up in the morning before work to take him on a walk, he looks at me like 'I'm not getting up this early... are you crazy?' and today I actually had to pick him up and start moving him. Then, when I turned my back he went right back to bed. Lol... he's like a little kid. Needless to say, he was acknowledged me leaving today from his curled up position in his bed. I did get a tail wag though. ;) What a cutie! (As you can see, I can go on and on about him...) Thank you again a million times over for the fantastic care you gave him! Magen

Sue
Sue

We're doing great! Katie Sue is settling in nicely. She eats like a horse and uses the doggy doors to go outside whenever she needs to. She sleeps with us at night like she's always had a place there. She and Norman (our other Beagle) are getting along pretty well. She follows him outside quite a bit, and she chases him around the yard now and then. He seems to enjoy it! I took her to the vet yesterday for her first visit and they said she was in great shape. We are taking a slow walk around the block every night, and she really likes that. Right now she's curled up on couch right next to me. I talked to Madeline tonight and she says it takes about 2 weeks for dogs to feel at home. I'm confident that in 2 weeks we'll all feel like Katie has always been ours. She sure is a sweetie. Thanks for taking such good care of her, and helping us find her. Teresa
