11/29/2023 - You know the day is coming but you always hope it comes tomorrow.......... At midnight, a vet stopped Rosey's tired heart. Thankfully, her spirit is now running through a green meadow with a pack of noisy, nosey, joyful beagles from Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. Rosey was my dear companion for 11 years and was about 15 years old. She gave me a reason to get up every morning; I promised to give her love, comfort, and my time. Rosey's life was blessed by her many kind and generous friends (You know who you are!!). I will miss my gentle, little girl more than words can say. She lifted me up. If you have pets, please give them an extra treat and a kiss today, in honor of Rosey. Susan 7/2023 - Our beloved senior beagle, Sadie Mae, crossed the rainbow bridge Monday afternoon. We rescued her over a year and a half ago in Seffner, FL from an amazing group - Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. She is much better off and free of any pain or discomfort. She had a great run with us and really blossomed after we helped bring her back to better health. She enjoyed trips to Grove Roots Brewery smelling the BBQ food trucks and socializing, baying, running, neighborhood walks looking for dead worms, cruising our backyard, going to the Saturday market in Winter Haven, eating her lamb ears and dog bones and much much more. She is in now in Heaven with our previous dogs, Mac and Lucy. We will miss you Sadie 7/2023 - Hi, I am TBBR Alumni Scarlett's (Daisy XI) mom. I adopted her in June of 2014. I wanted to let you know that she passed away on Wednesday, the 28th. She was about 16 years old we think. She was surrounded by me and her dad and the whole vet staff at our vet. She knew she was loved until the very end. For the last 3 years, Scarlett was going to cold laser therapy and acupuncture appointments. She had degenerative disc disease, but she was a tough cookie. Without this organization, I would have never had my best friend. Thank you for all you do. Maybe in the future, when my heart hurts a little less, we can become fosters or even adopt again. I think we just need a bit of time. Scarlett was one of a kind and loved more than words can describe. 2/23/2023 - Our precious Rosco boy crossed the Rainbow Bridge yesterday. He lived a long and healthy life, and Todd and I were with him until he took his final breath and closed his eyes for the last time. Rosco came to us through the good work of the Tampa Bay Beagle Rescue. He had lived most of his life with an elderly woman, and when she passed away, her family came to collect what they wanted of her belongings and then dropped her dog, Rosco, at a shelter. Thanks to TBBR, Rosco was quickly fostered out of the shelter, and within months, we met him at an adoption event and took him home the same day. The day he came to live with us was the day our house became a home. Rosco boy… I could say all of the things that people say about good boys - and you were as good as they come - but mostly I want to say thank you. Thank you for loving us. Thank you for allowing us, even late in your life, to bring other good boys who needed a home into our home. And most of all, thank you for making us a family. You are among the very best things that has ever happened to us, and we are changed - we are better - because you were ours. Run free, my bestest boy. We love you so much. 1/11/2023 - We adopted Tracker on a cold rainy Saturday in January 2010. He certainly came with his share of challenges, but with patience, time and a lot of love he became the happy boy we always knew he could be. He spent nine years on ten acres in Punta Gorda, Florida. Then he, Buddy and Heidi moved to Vermont. Tracker loved being in Vermont, sitting by the campfires, and just doing what beagles like to do. He even adapted well to the snow. We all miss you Tracks, you will always have a special place in our hearts. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
