Jake
Jake came to our family in September of 2001 after being neglected, left outside for too long and watching his sister die on a chain. He brought such joy and happiness to our family being our first and only dog. January 29, 2009 we had to put him down because of liver failure. He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace Jake we enjoyed our time with you and will never forget you. Love, The Ball Family

Toby III 8/5/08
Toby was our foster who came to us after being in a couple of homes and returned because he didn't work out. We had hoped that we would work with him on his training issues and then find him his forever home but he was diagnosed with cancer and went quickly. He was a friendly, affectionate boy who while very vocal, was always ready to give and receive love. We'll miss you Toby.

Bo 06/15/2008
Scott and I fostered Bo almost 2 years ago. He was our second little foster and because he was already 7 years old, he stayed with us over a couple of months. He was adopted by a lovely young lady and they lived the perfect life. What happen since March 08, I do not know exactly but what I know is Bo went to live with her father. The whole family adored Bo and he was truly a part of the family. Last month as Bo was left to go unleashed to go potty he suddenly was distracted and shot off. He was hit and killed by a truck. Everyone is grieving., May sweet little Bo's death teach us something and help us remember to insist with our applicants on the fact that beagles need to be leashed at all times. Much as a 2 year old they are not reliable and will get distracted., It is up to us to protect our beagles as we would protect a toddler. Bo was 9 years old when ihe died. Rest in peace sweetheart and chase the lizards all you want on the rainbow bridge. You are now truly safe. Madeleine & Scott

Milton II 07/01/2008
I know many of you didn't even get to see sweet little Milton because he became ill with Parvo shortly after we received him I am very heartbroken to report that Milty has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. He became very sick, very quickly and could not be saved. Poor little baby. Milton was such a sweet, beautiful little boy. We are so lucky to have spent the time we did with him and out hearts are broken that help came too late for this poor baby. Debra

Zoii
Zoii escaped from her home where she was loved so much and by the time she was found later that day she had been hit and killed by a car. Zoii was a very special happy girl and everyone who met her loved her! She will be dearly missed.... "It has been one of the worst couple days of my life. My husband found Zoii Friday evening, she had been hit by a car & was dead by the side of the road. I have never had a pet killed like this & it is the worse thing I’ve ever experienced. I feel so responsible and so guilty. I feel like I let her down, and you down & her previous owner down. She was entrusted to me to take care of her & I have failed. I am so sorry & so torn up. I don’t know what to say I miss her so much. I have dealt with the pain of loosing a beloved pet before but never the guilt. I would do anything for my animals to keep them happy, safe & free from pain. I am so sad & sorry." Amy
