Joe - July 2014
My husband and I just wanted to update you all about our little beagle, Joe that we adopted in June of 2008. We had to let him go in July of this year as he had some serious health issues. At about 14 years of age we didn't want to pro-long his suffering. We enjoyed the six years that we had with him and were glad to give him lots of love and attention all that time. Hopefully it helped to make up for any bad experiences that he may have had the first 8 years of his life. He enjoyed getting two good meals a day and lots of treats, going for walks every evening, sleeping in his "safe haven" crate whenever he wanted to and lots of loving pets from us and occasional others. We miss him, but hope to adopt another pet sometime in the future. Sherry & Bernie Mock

Reno - October 2014
Attached is a photo of Reno on his first and last days with us. We adopted Reno from TBBR on May 17, 2008 when he was about a year old; he was a constant source of amusement in our house. Reno never outgrew the puppy or his need to be the center of attention; this proved to be somewhat of a challenge when our granddaughter came along, but they did become great friends. We thought we had lost Reno in 2010 when he escaped and was hit by a car and fractured his pelvis in 3 places and dislocated a leg. He came through with flying colors and you would never know it happened to see him running up and down (and leaping off of) the stairs. This summer, he developed a tumor on his front leg about the size of a ping pong ball. The vet told us in August that it was inoperable and could be either fully invasive or only locally. By October, it was clear that it was affecting more than just his leg, so after consulting with the vet, we made the decision to let him go. We and his brother Lucas (also a TBBR adoptee) miss him greatly! Steve and Jamie (Danker) Walter

Katie (July 2014)
"We lost our darling Katie a few weeks ago to Cushings. She was a TBBR alumni, known as Sue when we adopted her in 2007. She was such a loving girl and we will never forget her. We are just heartbroken, but when we are ready to have another dog, we will come back."
