Lily Mae is 1/2 of a very bonded pair. Her sister is Leah Rae and available for adoption with her. Seldom do we see two girls as bonded and in need of each other as Lily and Leah, so we will not consider separating them. These girls have a sad story. They have been together their entire lives, and then their owner died. They suddenly found themselves at a shelter in Miami and fighting for their lives. Lucky for them they had lots of people advocating for them, and those volunteers pulled these beautiful girls and transported them to Tampa and TBBR! Lily had a cyst removed from the base of her tail and a dental as well as a hernia repair. Now she will be working on losing about 5-7 pounds in her foster home. Both of these girls are so sweet and amazing after all they have been through. They are also both heartworm free! Because they are very bonded, they must be adopted together. They clean each other and often sleep together. We know there is a special family out there just waiting for these girls. They are great with our teens and love our other dogs. Lily Mae had her thyroid tested and it appears that is why she is carrying a few extra pounds so she will now be on very inexpensive medicine to keep her thyroid in check. She should be able to lose her extra weight now and will look more like her sister soon!
