Jake needs a caretaker or foster! Won't you consider helping him get a new start? Jake is a friendly and outgoing boy, who is looking for affection and knows how to give it. He is independent and is happy playing with a toy when you leave the house. Like most beagles, he loves food. Jake gets along well with other dogs, loves to go for walks, romp in the backyard and fetch the ball. He enjoys being active but also loves to sit next to you on the sofa. He is housebroken and sleeps in his crate at night. He does well with kids, ages 8 and above. He is up to date on all his shots and ready to be adopted.
More about JakeGood with Dogs, Good with Kids Special Needs: Jake has allergies to dust mites, flea dirt, and some types of mold. So he'll do best in a household that is kept very clean and free of dust (he does very well with his foster's tile floors/wood floors). He will need an allergy shot approx every twenty days to build up his immunity. He may also have some food allergies so he eats prescription dry dog food available from any vet or petstore that carries Hills Science Diet.
