Hope somehow found herself starving and dehydrated in rural Lake county. Whether she got lost or was abandoned there we will never know. But she had the good fortune to wander into the garage of a local vet! When found she was so skinny they say she looked like a bag of bones. :( Luckily this vet took her in and started feeding her and treating her various ailments. She was started on medication for ear infections and dewormed. Unfortunately she tested positive for heartworms but this is treatable and she will be good as new after that. She is clearly feeling better and has a perky, energetic personality. She is constantly on the go and has her nose to the ground exploring every square inch of the yard. She is good with other dogs and also with kids. It's hard to capture in the photos how tiny she is but this little girl is 15lbs of pure energy and love!
