Wheatley is a big, lovable guy who just soaks up attention.  He has a soft-spoken nature to him but tons of personality and will have you smiling and laughing at him.  

He is probably mixed with a larger breed dog such as harrier or foxhound, as he is taller and longer than most beagles.  He came out of animal control rather skinny and needs to put on some weight and will probably be closer to 40-45lbs when everything is balanced out. He walks very well on a leash and is well behaved in the house so don't be turned off by his size.  There is just a little more of him to love!

Wheatley has done well inside his foster home and picked up on the crate and housetraining very quickly.  He gets along well with his foster brother and sisters and doesn't seem at all interested in the cat.  He is just showing interest in toys but hasn't done much playing yet.  He has a very endearing howl but uses it sparingly.

Wheatley would make a wonderful addition to just about any family.
