Luxie is a purebred little beagle girl who was an owner surrender because her family decided they didn't have enough time for her.  While it does take a little more time and energy and patience to work with a puppy, Luxie is certainly a great dog.  She has the passionate curiosity that beagles and puppies are known for.  She just wants to be a part of the action!  She'll help you tie your shoes or give you a bunch of kisses whenever you are within reach and she is ever-ready for a game of chase or tug with a toy.

While it is true that she is a puppy and puppies need a little more focus, Luxie is very well behaved.  She knows what dog toys are and has not been prone to getting into things she shouldn't.  She is also crate trained and housebroken.  She even knows how to swim, as her foster learned one morning when she was a little too excited to run out the back door and went for an unplanned dip!

Luxie loves her foster brothers and sisters and has even been ok with the resident kitty.

At under a year of age, it is reasonable to expect puppy-like behavior for about another year.  That means extra long ears and an active tongue and that adorable little toddle that puppies are known for. Please consider the extra energy puppies have when putting in an application.
