Otis is an adorable little beagle boy. His ideal weight will probably be around 20 lbs. In his foster home, he likes to find a soft place to take a nap or snuggle up next to one of his humans for a belly rub and a snooze. He likes to chew on hard toys like Nylabones and will carry soft toys around in his mouth. He seems very proud in these moments! Otis can also leap up and catch a toy thrown to him. He also likes to take his nylabone to his perch on the back of the couch - what a goof! Otis loves meal time in his crate and figured out that routine in a snap. He is generally quiet when crated but will occassionally protest the departure of his people. He celebrate the arrival of his family when they return with an adorable request for a belly rub and will lay on the floor until he gets one :-). Otis came to TBBR pretty uneasy and unsure of loud noises or sudden people movements, especially when he was startled awake. While this is occasionally still true, time and reassurance that he was in a safe place have brought these reactions to a minimum. We believe that it would be best for Otis to be in a home with adults and older children. It is also probably best if he did not have to share space with a cat.
