update 02/2014: Lelu is such a sweetheart! She is doing well on her diet and doesn't complain at all about her small portions (you can see the progress she has made when looking at her photos). She enjoys playing with toys and is often seen carrying a stuffed animal around. Lelu is very affectionate and loves to snuggle. She has the softest fur and beautiful coloring. She seems to be getting better about barking at strangers as well. Lelu would be a great addition to your family! 10-15-13 After overfeeding and underexercising her, Lelu's family abandoned her at the shelter. We can only imagine why. She was quite frightened but now that she is safe she has settled nicely into her foster home. She is still wary of strangers and barks when she meets people, but she is starting to trust so each introduction is less scary to her. She is extremely overweight and will need an owner committed to continuing with her diet and exercise regimen. She has a beautiful lemon coat and a sweet endearing face and will be even more of a gem when she is down to a healthy weight.
