Roderick is named in honor of the Good Samaritan who found him. Even though she couldn't keep him, she took him to her vet at her own expense for an exam and medication for his skin condition.

Roderick is a sedate, lovable old guy. He is used to living in a home and spent his first night happily curled up on the sofa. Roderick is very sweet and welcomes all your attention and love but is also willing to share!  He is great on a leash and knows how to sit up and beg. He gets along well with the other dogs and children in the home.

6/27/13:  Roderick had a pretty severe case of pneumonia and pulled through it very well.  He is now fully recovered and doing great!  It is amazing how much spunk this senior boy still has!  He has pep in his step and prances around like he owns the place.  He is very affectionate a loves to be loved on.  He gets along great with other dogs and has such a sweet endearing personality.  We are so thrilled that we could save this most deserving beagle boy.  We are hoping that he has several more good years to spend with a family with a soft spot for the gentle seniors.
