Rookie was surrendered to the SPCA along with his housemate Honey.  When both dogs turned out to be heartworm positive they were taken to animal control where their fate was dismal.  We are so thrilled that we were given the opportunity to save these very special beagles!  Rookie is just a little peanut who could stand to gain a few pounds.  He gets along with other dogs - big or small, loves kids and is totally adorable!  He is now neutered and has been treated for the heartworms.  He is a happy, healthy, and loving and mischevous beagle boy.  He crates well and is an all-around great boy.  He LOVES to be outside tracking any scent he can find or barking at a squirrel up a tree!  In fact, when all the other dogs have come inside to eat, Rookie is still outside sniffing in the bushes or sitting under a tree.  He would absolutely love to have a home with a little bit of property for him to explore.  He is also very loving and affectionate.  He will cuddle in your lap and let you love on him as much as you want!  He would make a wonderful companion for any family!  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
