Eddie is a very sweet, 3 year old male tri-colored Beagle. Sadly, Eddie's last owners did not take very good care of him, leaving him in the yard most of the time and then just letting him roam the streets. Eventually, they just abandoned him. Luckily for him, Eddie was taken in by a very nice lady who is working with him to get him ready for adoption. He is housebroken and is working on crate-training (he sleeps quietly in the crate all night). He is in excellent health -- he has gotten his shots, been neutered and tested negative for heartworms. He likes dogs and cats (though he might just chase the cats if they are silly enough to run!!), and does very well with children. Because Eddie was left in the yard in his old home, he has learned to dig out and escape. For this reason, HE CAN NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED IN A YARD. Although he hasn't had the benefit of obedience training, he is a very smart boy and is learning quickly. He will definately need to go to obedience classes when he gets adopted. Eddie has a typical beagle voice and may be a bit "talkative" when he's excited, so he needs a home where this won't be a problem. He would also like a home with another dog to play with, and one where he will get all the love and attention he has been lacking.
