Update 8/11/11:Hank is recovering from his surgery right on schedule !  His visit this week resulted in him no longer needing a cast but we are still treating him like a porcelain doll for the next  4 weeks.  At that time he will go in for one more x-ray and hopefully be cleared for normal activity.  He is a young boy who just wants to play and snuggle  and will make a wonderful addition to any family !!  Won't you consider making this country boy a part of your family !!

This sweet boy came to TBBR from a rural nothern Florida county after being hit by a car.  His right front leg was fractured in the accident and the county could not afford to repair it and would have euthanized him if not for the fantastic folks at TBBR.  He had surgery to repair his leg within a day of arriving in Tampa and is well on his way to a full recovery.  He is soooooo sweet and loving!  He was named after Hank Williams Jr, the famous country crooner who sang "A country boy can survive...!" This country boy is definitely a survivor!  What was a terrible accident that could have ended his life turned out to be the twist of fate that brought this country beagle to the city where he can't wait to find a new home.
