Pickles is absolutely beautiful! He's a little longer than the average beagle and his ears and tail are longer, too. His long fur coat is so soft and silky. He's crate and housetrained and loves to pester his foster brother. Pickles has come a long way towards trusting people during the past few days. He's still a little tentative with me, but has almost stopped running away or cringing when I try to put my hands on him. He has even begun asking me to play with him. He runs fast and loves to jump and box with his front paws. His long length makes him very tall when he stands on his back feet. He uses this to his advantage when he's sniffing around the kitchen counters! He doesn't play with any of the toys scattered around the house, but he does clean up after the family... anything left on the floor ends up buried in his crate! I have found all of the dog toys, socks and shoes, bottle caps, kitchen towels, and even the tv remote buried under his blanket (but nothing was chewed-up). I have even discovered this shy dog's secret... he loves to cuddle! Once I catch him, he takes a few minutes to relax, but then he will sleep in my lap for hours. He's such a sweet baby and with a little patience and some tlc, he will make a wonderful addition to any family.
