UPDATE 6/27/10: What a sweet little girl Miss Halen is !  She is quickly becoming comfortable in her foster home after being left outside most of the time by her former family.  She is showing some signs of being anixous when it comes time for me to leave and will go into her crate for a cookie but cries when she notices I'm heading for the door.  We are working on making her more comfortable with being left during the day and often times I do find her sleeping in her crate while I am making dinner or watching TV.  I would highly recommend a crate so that she has a place to escape if she feels that she needs to.

She gets along well with dogs her own size but the bigger dogs in her foster home have her a little timid.  She is curious about them and will go up to them but when they turn to look at her she turns and runs for her crate.  I don't think she is afraid of them but rather just a little unsure about what they will do since she most likely hasn't had very much exposure to dogs bigger than herself.  She is very sweet and very loving.  She loves to cuddle with you and has a great beagle appetite.

She is going to make a great beagle companion.  Won't you consider making her a part of your family?

Hard to believe that anyone could just tie this sweet little girl to a tree all day when they went to work. Lucky for Halen a rescurer with the Doberman Rescue saw her, spoke to the owner and arranged to have her surrendered to TBBR.  Halen is as sweet a they come, likes to snuggle, get her belly rubbed and fall asleep in you lap.  She got on fine with my Beagles and seems to just love being around people.  I believe she would do well with children.  She it a little skittish when there is a loud noise (like when I yelled at my Beagle trying to get to my lunch on the table).  Halen appears to be house broken and, in true Beagle style, loves to eat!  She has a very soft bark for a Beagle.

Halen still neeeds to be spayed
