I am Ellie Mae from Alabama.  I am a little shy but each day I venture out a little bit more.  My crate is my house and I love it in there.  My foster parents have given me nice blankets that I love to ruff up!  Last night I even decided to go look around the house and I found a really comfy doggie bed.  I love to go on walks and everyone says I walk nice and slow on the leash.

 Lexi is a lovely dog.

She sits/waits nicely at the (open) door until you tell her it's okay, then she runs to the car and sits by the door waiting to be told to load up.  She never rushes out the door, and never runs off.  She walks well on a leash.
 
Lexi is respectful of cats and loves dogs.  She plays hard & well with her friends at the dog park.  And that is the only time she (occasionally) barks, never at home.  And, she is great with small children. 

She knows sit, down, come, leave it, drop it, bedtime (gets in crate), and is pretty good at stay & back off (which is handy in the kitchen and bathroom). 

If she is heading in the wrong direction, and you shout “stop”, she stops immediately and comes back. 

Lexi is learning to fetch.  She will sometimes play by herself with a stick, bone or ball.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
