Shoeshine is a very shy 2 year old boy.  He is mostly quiet but will bark when left alone.  Once he had decided to trust you, he is a great lap dog.   Shoeshine may like a doggy door so he can go out to potty on his own.  Shoeshine is looking for an adopter who is willing to give him lots of time to adjust to his new setting and people.   This will probably take a couple of months rather than weeks.  If you are willing to give him the time, you will have an amazing new couch buddy.  It's likely he will always be a timid dog even after he settles in to a new home. He is currently frightened by sudden movements.  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
