Beagle : : Female (spayed)
Sandy Duncan is available for adoption, she is a 6-year-old female, weighing 24 lbs. She is Heartworm negative and ready to go to her new home. She is such a good girl, she is housetrained and tells you when she needs to go outside to potty by waiting at the door. She gets along great with other dogs, children, and probably cats (She has not been tested around cats though). She is not food aggressive and does not resource guard. Sandy Duncan would love some doggie brothers and sisters to play with, but it is not required. She is fine when left in a crate, she barks for about 2 minutes and then falls asleep. For reasons we do not know and do not want to speculate, she cannot bark. Her bark is a low raspy squeak. She is a happy goofball and sploots on the floor just hanging out with her foster family in the same room. She is not timid, she'll approach anyone with no hesitation. She’ll cuddle if you want her to, but she likes her own space in her dog bed at night. Sandy Duncan walks great on a leash, she does not pull, but like many other beagles, she follows her nose. She could easily wander off because she followed a good scent. We highly recommend a harness if you were to adopt her.
