Updated: Now that Dash is very comfortable at his foster home, his personality is really coming out.  He is a silly guy.  He gets the old man zoomies (which are not very fast).  When he wants attention, he will back in to you and sit majestically waiting or he’ll chase his tail around the floor.  He must lick his foot for five minutes or go before he can settle down to sleep.  He learned to like an out of town adult guest very quickly and now treats him to all things Dash

Dash, also known as Mister Smooshy, is an older gentleman who is looking for his forever home.  He loves to be snuggled and pet.  Once Dash trusts you, he will follow you everywhere.  He enjoys napping up against you in your bed so much that he may bark to let you know he’s ready to join you.   He enjoys being outside and loves having the freedom of a doggy door.  He is crate trained but could also be trusted to roam free when left alone.  

Dash can be a bit grumbly when he doesn't want to move. Because of this, He may not do well in a home with young children.  But children old enough to  learn to back off when he growls would be ok,  

He gets along with other dogs in the home but would also be happy as an only dog.

Dash has undergone Heartworm treatment and will need to be on a specific heart worm prevention for the next 9 months  

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
