UPDATE 1/03/10 We have made amazing progress!!! Evie has started to come out and socialize with the pack more and even comes up for treats! She was just hiding in the bedroom and waiting for a treat. She is such a sweet silly girl.

Evie is another very pretty beagles girl! Poor baby was hiding in the back of the cage at animal control and had to be carried to the car. She is very timid and scared especially of loud noises. We are working with her to help her understand that humans mean love for her. She really enjoys playing and running in the yard with the other dogs which is helping her feel more comfortable. She LOVES her crate as it makes her feel safe inside. She collects toys and brings them in the crate with her...too cute!!!
Evie would love to have a family of her own to show her kindness and be patient while she learns she is safe now.
UPDATE*** Evie is still very timid but, has made progress and has taken to staying on the bed instead of in a crate or under the bed! Evie just loves to play wirth the other dogs. She also loves treats! Evie enjoys attention and being petted as long as she is approached quietly and gently. Oh...and she never barks!!!! She is the quietest beagle I have ever met ;)
