Gemi is a gentle 7 year old Beagle/basset hound mix that loves super slow walks and naps! Gemi walks at her own pace. She took a couple weeks to warm up to her foster parents. Once she warms up to you she should start following you around and enjoys being petted. For mobility challenged applicants Gemi may not be a good fit due to getting under foot. Gemi is extremely quiet unless she thinks your going outside without her because she wants that walk. Gemi has been trained to not get on the furniture. We would recommend that you understand this training and do not attempt to break this habit.  Gemi also enjoys sunbathing. Gemi is quite particular about being fed from a plate and not a bowl. Gemi has had some accidents in her foster home. Given the training Gemi has we suspect she might be more accustomed to having doggy door access to the yard. That is something that is not possible in her current foster set up. If you’re looking for a lazy quiet companion, Gemi might be the one for you!

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
