Desi is a nice, calm adult beagle. He is making great progress with walking politely on a leash and with crate training. He does love to go for walks and is excited to go out on his daily walks.  Desi is eating his meals in a crate in his foster home which is helping him be happier while crated. Desi likes to hang out around the humans in his foster home and is doing well navigating his relationships with the resident dogs. He has shown no interest in the resident cat.

Desi has some small tendency to resource guard and his foster family is working on that behavior with him. He also does not like to be picked up, maybe based on some past experiences.

Desi does take thyroid medication and will need that for the rest of his life. He originally came to the rescue severely overweight and he is now back where his weight should be.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
