Leo the Lion!  Leo was so timid when he came to us that we started calling him Leo the Lion.  It must have helped because over time his eye contact has improved and he has become more playful and outgoing.

Leo loves to play ball and he loves to explore the yard.  He is good on a leash and will gladly join you if you are walking or jogging.  Leo has been very good with our other dogs.  He needs a little time to warm up to new people, but once he is comfortable he enjoys attention and will gladly roll over for a belly rub.  He takes an inexpensive medication twice daily to control what seems to be a mild form of epilepsy, and the pill is easy to give him with bacon (or lunchmeat, or cheese, or about anything that’s handy).

Leo is house-trained and sleeps through the night in his crate.  And he has been ok in his crate during the workday as long as he has plenty of time to go outside in the morning.  He has the curious nature of a beagle but he understands “no.”
