Beagle / Basset Hound (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult
Teague has the look of the Celtic Poet he is named after. He seems quite calm and easygoing but was friendly to me and the other dogs. Teague would love to bring joy and happiness to your home.
UPDATE: To my buddies from Clay County: I arrived in my new home on Saturday. I've been told that I am a really good boy even though I really had never been in a home. When I tried to lift my leg on a chair just to say hello my foster Mom produced a sound that sent me the message that I should not be doing that. Then she took me outside and every time I baptized a bush or a tree I got a really good treat. That worked for me and I promised to only relieve myself outside. I've been told I am a little beagle although somewhere in time someone in my family must have been a basset hound. What turned me in is my front paws turn out. I know this because when I walked on the wood floor I felt like an ice skater and my foster Mom told me that my "first ballet position" made me look like a natural - at least as an ice skater. By the way I am not a high level athlete, I am a poet and I like to take my time on walks and sniff at leisure here and there. I will pause often to contemplate and think. I do enjoy the calmness of my new home and rejoice in every single activity that is offered because I've been told I am the easiest little guy in the world. Wednesday I went for my heart worm treatment and Iwas neutered too. I already knew the vet because he had to fix me the other day after I was ganged on at the kennel. I have a few scars to prove that but I know how to let go and not hold a grudge. My foster Mom tells me that everything is OK and that I am weathering this very well with her very special high protein diet and her TLC. Till I see you later at the next adoption event...... Teague, the celtic bard.
