Harper is a fun loving little Beagle who is staring to get use to all his new experiences.  He enjoys other dogs and has not shown much interest in the local ducks and squirrels.  If approached slowly Harper will accept strangers but is still a little jumpy of sudden movement or noises.  Harper sleeps in his crate at night and is happy to go right into his crate for a treat or two.  We do not believe he is 100% housetrained but he has not had any accidents in the house since we have been keeping an eye on him.  Harper should not have soft toys since he likes to eat them, however, he is happy to have a kong or nylabone to chew on.  Harper has had no obedience training so we will start on that and I think he will enjoy the human interaction as well as all the treats.
We have noticed that Harper limps from time to time on his right hind leg so he will be visiting our orthopedic vet on 4/27/09.

All of our animals are sterilized, microchipped, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heartworm disease before adoption.
