Beagle : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
Charlotte is ready to go to a great home with a lot of love. She is very friendly and loves attention. She is already housebroken and has had some training with commands. She loves to play fetch with squeaky dog toys and will chase tennis balls in the back yard. She is starting to get more exercise since moving in with her foster parents and hopefully will lose a little weight. She really loves long walks and does not pull on the leash. At first she can be a little hesitant around people but quickly warms up to you. Charlotte is doing great! She has gotten use to her new diet and is starting to shed those pounds! She actually is starting to get her curves back. She also enjoys getting outside and running around playing fetch. If you know the breed, it is a rare kind of beagle who actually will play fetch. She does it and loves it. She does really well on the leash and enjoys her long walks. Since my last update I have also had house guest over (2 adults and 3 kids all under 6 yrs old). She did really well with a full and chaotic house. She was a natural with the kids and really seems to enjoy them. We also had to have someone babysit for her one week while my wife and I were out of town. We learned that she can be a barker when left alone. While I never experienced her having seperation issues we also have two other dogs to help keep her company. Charlotte does get very excited when you get home and will be the first to greet you at the door. She is vocal when you first get home but has shown signs of improvement. UPDATE: July 6th Charlotte first came to our house weighing around 50lbs. Since she has been with us she has been recieving a strict diet and regular exercise. I am happy to report that she is currently weighing around 37lbs. SHE HAS LOST 13 LBS and is looking great. I will make sure that we update her photos soon.
