Little Bit is a tiny girl with a lot of love to give. Foster mom says she is a wonderful beagle who really deserves a loving forever home. Little Bit is guessed to be about "8 years young" and has many years ahead of her to love you! She thought she was loved, but at age 8 found herself left at a county shelter. Poor Little Bit....she was so confused. One of our volunteers came to her rescue and has been fostering her and showing her the love she deserves. Little Bit is very grateful : )

We thought that Little Bit may be better suited in a home where she will be the only dog as she especially wants to be the queen of the house but has tolerated her foster family's new beagle puppy & the other 3 beagles quite well. Little Bit is still full of surprises!!

Little Bit developed an autoimmune hemolytic anemia in July. This is when the body's own immune system starts destroying one's own red blood cells. The doctors are not entirely sure of the reason this happened to Little Bit but one possibility is that it was a reaction to an antibiotic. She was placed on an immune suppressing drug and has done great since that time. She has now been taken off the medication and additional blood work will be done at the beginning of November. We are hopeful that she will have made a full recovery and will no longer need to take the medication.

She is cute as a button and a petite beagle girl. If you are looking for a special little beagle girl, Little Bit may just be waiting for you! She is hoping that you will come to meet her soon.
